The
band are delighted with their 2nd place at the Yorkshire Area Championships
and are relishing the challenge of the Nationals in September and
the First Section in 2009.
Congratulations
also go to Ian Gill who was awarded the "Best Soloist" prize.
Ian was highly praised by Alan Hope and Barry Thompson, warming to
his "fine euphonium sounds".
Our
thanks go to Ian Craddock whose meticulous preparations delivered
on the day, and the band who put in the many hours required to secure
a Finals place.

has an enviable record at the Finals and the band are looking to build
on their solid performance at Butlins 2008.
