Matthew Renshaw - Trombone

Matthew started playing at the early age of seven, joining YBS Concert Brass Band when he was ten. He has played for the band ever since.

His first contest was with the band in the National Finals 4th section, held at the Royal Albert Hall. Matthew has done a number of solos with the band throughout the years, but his favourite is ‘Blue John'.

Matthew also plays in his local Wilsden Band, who, despite not competing, rehearse every Sunday morning. Matthew hasn't had a lie in on a Sunday morning for twenty years!

Matthew works at a call centre with the Bradford and Bingley, dealing with branch queries and diverted branch calls. He doesn't have much time for any other hobbies but when he does he enjoys rock climbing and skiing.
